From a leisurely stroll to an extensive hiking adventure

The Fontainebleau Forest is ideal for hiking: its  beauty has always captivated nature lovers. You can take leisurely walks with little elevation gain as well as demanding hikes (Parisian mountaineers and trail runners also come here to train).

What makes the Fontainebleau Forest truly extraordinary is the diversity of its landscapes and numerous trails, making each hike different: royal horse tracks, winding paths, sandy plains, rocky chaos, lakes, caves. Discoveries and atmospheres are endless.

The team also recommends walks along the Loing River, the Seine, and nearby canals. Along these pleasant riverbanks, you can reach and visit the villages of Saint-Mammès, Moret-sur-Loing, Thomery, and Samoreau.
